A C-Level executive of a developmental department of the USA was having interaction challenges with his Asian staff. There was doubt, friction and all around finger-pointing going on and around his camp. He sought help from HSiN. HSiN coaches probed for specifics and stories of critical incidents using Appreciative Inquiry principles and protocols. One day he wizened up to their gentle and inquisitive behaviour and he asked, “Why is it then when I talk you and answer your questions, I brighten up, open up and lighten up? What is this thing that you do?”
